Cerrado del Aguila Golf Resort, located next to the biggest racecourse in Southern Spain (Hipodromo) just on the edge of Fuengirola, forms part of the expanding Mijas “Golf Valley”. This is a spectacular and technical course, with lakes and wide American-style fairways, sea and mountain views and spacious greens. Cerrado Del Aquila has rapidly become one of the region’s favourite 9 hole courses and is sure to satisfy the most demanding golfer.

The course has fantastic views of Fuengirola and the sea and due to the accessibility of the terrain, the course can be walked quite comfortably. Buggies and clubs are available to hire.

White tees : 2.867 m Yellow tees: 2.752 m Red tees: 2.552 m

Opened in May 2007, the course was designed by Ignacio García Gómez and Francisco Navarro Collado to suit players of all abilities. It is a par 35 nine-hole course with a further nine holes under development to form a par 71 course. There are also rumours the course may be extended to 27 holes in the longer term.

Practise facilities include a putting-green, an approach area, 9 holes pitch and putt and a covered driving range with a distance of 250 metres.

There is also a golf academy - Cerrado del Águila Golf School - with Miguel Navarro as Professional Trainer. Individual tuition, group classes and children’s classes are available.
